Wise Security Global S.L. specializes in digital identity, data protection, and cybersecurity. With a strong focus on innovation, they created Wise DID Authenticator to give users complete control over their digital identity by leveraging decentralized identifiers and blockchain.
Problem:
Wise needed a senior iOS developer with an architecture-oriented profile to audit and validate the code quality of both their mobile SDK and the Wise DID Authenticator app. The SDK was used across multiple apps implementing their decentralized authentication technology, so the goal was to assess maintainability, performance, and platform compatibility, and propose improvements where necessary.
Solution:
I began the project by conducting a thorough technical audit of both the Wise DID Authenticator app and its underlying SDK. The analysis covered architectural structure, code quality, performance, platform conventions, accessibility, security, and use of design patterns — all detailed in a comprehensive report with sections such as architecture review, code structure, version control, performance evaluation, and vulnerability assessment.
Following the audit, I started implementing key improvements aimed at strengthening the app’s security, stability, and maintainability. This included modernizing iOS development practices, refactoring critical components, and updating the SDK to align with Apple’s latest guidelines and technologies.
